Name that boat.
Boogaloo already has a name, but it was painted on the boat, so I had my lovely other half make up some vinyls to use on my boat as a stencil, they are beautiful.
Stencils were made by https://www.facebook.com/Juststickerz?fref=ts And are for sale for others also.
I got picked up from work this afternoon, and we went down the boat yard to add them onto Boogaloo.

Painted.... Anti-foul.... DONE!
So after my post this morning I went up the boat yard and spent the whole and I mean whole day painting Boogaloo. What a difference a bit of paint makes, it took less then 24hours.... but only just.
So heres a few paint update for you to see today.
I will start with a before pic from yesterday morning before anything.
So after masking up everything Adam and I started with the white, 3 layers of white, and with the sunshine we had today the paint dried so fast it was lovely.
Then the opposite was masked up for some blue. That anti foul paint is awful, and the whole job is awful, having to do the underneath.... blergh....
And finally whipping off the tape to show off the final look!
Doesn't it look amazing! I'm so pleased with it. It isn't actually finished yet I still have my stencils to do the name. I'm also considering another stripe of blue with the gold, so probably have a go at that tomorrow if the weather stays good after work.

The Clean up!!!
So took all my supplies down to the boat yard yesterday...
With a few added extras to this pic, such as a broom and a hose.
On arrival to the yard, the anticipation was high if the boat yard had actually got it out of the bushes and nettles. Which much to my delight they had, so we could really assess all the grime and any possible damage.
It looked a right mess....
The guys had just started scrubbing the deck when I got round to doing the pics.
I bet everyone drove in thinking what the hell this monstrosity of a boat was doing parked in the middle of the yard.
Managed to get a fair bit done, the boat is cleaned on the out side, damage is minimal, the wood strip down the side is rotten and the wash boards need doing.
So all the boat is clean now, and I made a start on scraping off all the old anti-foul paint but the there was a down pour and we had to abandon ship..... now off up there to continue with it some more today.

Our little boat visit.
We went up during the week to measure a couple of things, and get a few pics.
The poor boat is tucked right up in the hedge looking really sad.
The poor boat is tucked right up in the hedge looking really sad.
I picked up an absolute bargain last Saturday, this little sailing yacht called Boogaloo. She's a Vivacity 650, 21ft Bilge twin keeler, built by Russell Marine.
She has been up on hard standing for the last 18 months or possibly more, and so is looking worse for wear. It's in need of a paint and clean and tidy up.
Which I will do while she is on the hard standing, then I will sail her up to Ipswich to keep in the marina up there.
So here is a few pics of the boat from the advert, which I bought her from.
